The good news is that we know how to get out of tight spots. [With some help, sure, but they've been to the World of Darkness several times over now, all too aware of what it would mean if they couldn't find a way out. Finding a door in was never easy. Finding the door out? Nearly impossible—which is why Riku and Mickey didn't want to risk Sora being in there before he was ready. They knew how important he was, while Riku and Mickey's own power was tangential at best. They could have messed up their only chance of doing good otherwise.
Now they're here. It could be a simulation. Part of DiZ's whole thing with Roxas was to keep him from going too far, keep him boxed in so that he could be frustrated and live out his life while the restoration continued. Riku recalls parts of Sora's recent journey, and some of that matches up, but ...
