[ The brisk pace at which this girl operates is all the more out of place amidst the shuffling confusion of most of the safehouse newbies, of which she clearly is one. And it might not be superhuman, but it’s basically breakneck speed when you factor in that 1) there’s no reason to wash dishes that fast, and 2) she looks exhausted. Not the regular, sleeps-like-shit exhausted that Simon (along with a lot of the newbie population, probably) looks like, but protracted sickliness.
He’s showed up to find something that resembles a granola bar enough to be trusted, but ends up watching her, bemused. He is amazingly average, save for the left arm, healed but severed past the elbow, which he clutched in his right hand to sorta-hide the missing stuff.
When she addresses him he’s startled by how chipper it is. There’s still something brittle about it, but no one here so far has seemed able or willing to force that amount of cheer, including him, and he doesn’t shy away from conversation. ]
