they close the gap fast. barely a half-minute later and they're squaring off, forming a triangle with markus as the central point, the sheer heat of their anger unmistakable. daisy waits until aggrieved words give way to threats — you want me to knock that smug grin off your face, growls the one closest to her — before she lets a hand crook around a bare elbow. a loose touch, but the man's head snaps to take her in at his side, and daisy offers a sweet smile and an apology. ]
