[Diana hadn't really thought about how big the snake was until it started trying to coil around her. She's seen all sorts of monsters in her long life, and has hunted wild game both on and off Themyscira. But this creature is different; it's smarter than it seems it should be, and she feels like its yellow-gold eyes hold a spark of almost human intelligence that makes her stomach turn. But she can't think about that now, because a single moment of distraction could mean this thing's maw over her head.
Luckily, when the distraction comes, it's in the form of an expertly-thrown knife now sticking out of the creature's side.
The snakelike mutant hisses, thrashing and trying to get out of her grip--and Diana lets it go, freeing her hands from its jaws to wrap around the hilt of the blade and rip it out from between the scales. As she leaps back, she casts a glance at her savior, and can't help but smile a bit to see Prompto there down the hall. She shifts so she's between him and the creature, which is coiling in on itself, preparing to strike again.
But so is she. In one smooth motion, Diana has taken a defensive stance, but looks over her shoulder once more at Prompto to smile.]
