[ as far as she is concerned, the solstice party is simply an excuse for socially accepted drinking. the meat is also a nice selling feature. it hasn't been that long, but once she smells the meat her mouth waters enough to necessitate piling some on her plate. she sits on one of the futons, she ignores the tattooed people milling about, she drinks probably too much but she doesn't wobble when she stands so she is clearly fine.

at least drinking makes her feel more open to conversation and her practiced smiles come easily, though in all honesty she won't initiate the conversation on her own. them's the breaks. ]

[ where she is most at home, aside from her home, is at her job at the altena garage. switching from 1963 to the future has been a bit of a learning curve, but she learns quickly and studies every manual and the new endeavor is something to distract her so she falls into it easily. her boss is an easy going fellow, he lets her work on her own as long as she works in a timely manner.

luckily her soviet-german education instilled a powerful work ethic.

half the time she can be found elbow deep in a hover bike or with her head stuck in the guts of one of the many hover cars that had fallen from the sky during the emp blast. sometimes she takes her break outside, eating a sandwich under the shade of the awning.

despite working on bikes and cars every day, gaby walks to and from work, and she detours through the bloem district on the regular. for a spy (former spy?) she generally keeps to a regular schedule so it isn't hard to spot her walking home every day as the sun sets behind the wall. ]
