She lets go and he drops to the ground, hands grasping at his neck as he starts to choke on his own blood.
Pain bursts in her side as a loud sound pops next to her, but she barely even acknowledges the fact that she's been shot. Adrenaline dulls the pain to a burning ache, and she literally growls at him, teeth bared, before she sends her foot into his jaw, shattering it and his teeth as they crack together. As he cries out, she turns and slashes across his throat with her knife, slitting it from ear to ear.
