[ It had taken him entirely too long to message Rey the address to this place—the intuitive nature of the implant was something he'd been struggling with, that first brief success with Mei (ironically in the very garden they would be visiting) long behind him now—but it had been managed, leaving him just long enough to take a quick trip to the showers before heading out again.
Weeks in, and New Amsterdam still felt like a foreign land, but it was one he was learning gradually; his new job as a courier taking him to corners of the city that he otherwise might never have discovered on his own.
This garden was not one of those places. Rather, it had been one of the first places he'd stumbled upon once they'd been given their IDs, drawn in by the promise of something other than concrete and shining glass. It was not the largest garden of its kind in the cityㅡfar from it, in factㅡbut it was close enough to the safe-house that their absence wouldn't be noted, discrete enough that even if there was surveillance it would be unlikely to cause much difficulty, and the coffee wasn't half bad either. ]
