[Starting over is never easy. Diana has done it at least a dozen times over the past century, but that doesn't mean her heart feels any lighter when she does it. No matter how hard she tries not to, she can't help but form connections everywhere she goes, find people she grows to care about and things she knows she'll miss when she inevitably leaves. But being there for mankind had made hiding herself, her immortality, a necessity, and it didn't take her long to figure that out.
It feels--wrong, somehow, to have dropped this in his lap and then just leave him to mull over it all. But she also doesn't want him to feel like she's prying. It's a delicate balance, one she's had to spend a long time learning (and sometimes still isn't successful at hitting).
But now, she thinks, is a time when perhaps having a while alone to think would be best. So she nods in return, angling her body towards the door.]
You're welcome. If you need anything else, or have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.
[Something she knows isn't easy, especially considering the circumstances, but she offers nonetheless.]
