[Hawke is very genuine. She tends to chatter and more often than not she speaks the direct truth during all of it. She's not. a good liar, which makes her a not very good rogue, but she's found that a blunt instrument suits her better than something subtle. There is an ease of which she talks about these things, a casualness that only comes from real experience. It's the same as talking about a bear or about the weather.

She does know it's unusual though, around these parts. Probably people know much more about those space stations than they do about dragons, and his comment about the fantasy novel sort of solidifies that. She doesn't mind. Hawke smiles and shrugs.]


There are a lot of people who wish these things were fantasy where I'm from. Darkspawn might be good scary bedtime stories, but when they're real and trying to bang down your door, it's somewhat less exciting.

[Well, it's exciting, just a different type of exciting. Hawke knows that one in particular from first-hand accounts.]

What type of people do you fight out there in the stars? Because there's always fighting of some kind, that's a universal type of thing, I'd say.
