You're right. [Though she wants to argue for Bellamy's autonomy, she knows that she can't. How fresh is the wound of losing her compared to how soon after she was alive, having lived six plus years of her life away from him? Clarke knows how strongly Bellamy feels things. It would take a lot longer than that for him to feel better.

And that's if "better" is even achievable.

After a sigh, she adds:]


This world isn't easy, but I know you like comfort when you can get it. [She's seen it.] If nothing else, enjoy it while it lasts. [Getting back home is only a goal insofar as bringing her people here. Open the door and control it.

Frankly, as much lip service as Clarke plays to the idea of other people going home, she couldn't give a damn if it was a difference between bringing her people here or letting the others go. And she knows that. It's how she's granted meaning to her fight in this world.]
