[The answer may be less hard to give, but it's certainly no less hard to hear. Natasha's hand jumps up to the back of her neck, fingers touching the line of the fresh scar.

The implications hit faster than the convenience. Your ID embedded under your skin. A whole population, easy to track. Potentially hack. Any device that connects to anything like wifi is vulnerable to attack. Natasha glances around her at the people milling through the safehouse and her stomach twists with nausea.

Used to be, they talked about privacy being eroded in the name of security. The Patriot Act, in the U.S. springs to mind. But, Natasha always thought convenience would be the bigger enemy and it seems like maybe she was right.

She's going to be sick. Her whole face twists with it, her fingers digging against the nape of the neck as if she could pull the whole thing out if she just got a hold of it somehow.]

Great. [The word is forced through gritted teeth and she tries -- so hard -- to keep from spinning into pieces. A joke should follow, but her brain is too busy weaving different scenarios and playing them on loop behind her eyes.]
