[There was a time when Riku wanted nothing more than to beat Sora. Learning that he ended up with the keyblade had been harrowing. He denied what it meant for him, and he let Maleficent's voice get inside of his head. Sora had moved on, had new friends—Sora didn't need him anymore.
That was a long time ago, at least in terms of his life. He's not that person anymore, and his focus around Sora had been that way for a reason. Every aspect of himself had been defined by Sora. Protect Sora. Be strong for Sora. Look out for Sora. Even as he teased him and challenged him, Sora was the center of his life.
It says just how gone he is that he can't turn away from him now. When Sora calls his name, it falls on deaf ears. Not really deaf, not at all. The sound of Sora's voice should shock something in his system.
But it doesn't. He swings away, takes a perch, and waits. Sora's his prey right now. He has no reason to leave him alone. Why would he?

That part could be the Riku in him, after all.]
