[ Akechi goes and Ren takes point, trusting him to evaluate the playing field and head back with the details. he gets ready to shoot the monster that decides to pull him down, but Akechi already has it, so Ren covers the rest as he climbs to the top of the ceiling. it's not an easy fight, keeping himself covered at both directions while the monsters close in. one gets close enough to rattle him before it goes down.
when the signal comes, he half kicks off the wall and grabs the first bar of the fire escape, doing a dramatic flip up to catch himself and pull himself up beside Akechi. behind him the next monster is ready to head up, but Ren grabs it by an ungloved hand, glowing blue. for a few moments (just a few), the monster looks confused and frozen in place at the edge of the fire escape.
