[ Quentin's one of those people who takes a lot of satisfaction from other people laughing or connecting with him. He's sweet-tempered and eager to please, so he smiles in understanding, nodding his head. See, that's something people who don't know magic can never get. He's met people who had powers before and even they don't talk about it the way the magic users do. ]

I, um, read Aramaic too. [Of course he does! How very magic of them both. Quentin reads a whole bunch of different languages, including very dead ones, because it's sometimes part of spellcasting or reading about new spells to memorize. Just one of those things. But Quentin loves reading Aramaic. He loves anything moderately nerdy.]

I mean, monster-killing could be a hobby, but not a very easy one at the moment.
