I'll be able to tell if it's a fatal wound. [Like it or not, she has enough experience with anatomy, as well as giving fatal wounds, to know if it's one that requires them to stop. That means that she'll take what he says in stride, allowing him to "keep moving" as long as he can. Clarke will just also need to assess how much of that is adrenaline, and if the crash afterward will mean his death.]

There's the "if" again, [she adds after she realizes, a bit rueful. Yes, he might not have a fatal wound, but that's conditional. Only a possibility.] Let's not make it just a hopeful statement. We're getting in and out with a plan for how to move forward as a group.

[Clarke speaks like someone who's used to trying to will things into being. Whether she ever accomplishes it is anybody's guess.]
