They would be very interested in these relics. The greater majority of worshipers don't know about the gates in the least. The information itself seems to be passed on via oral tradition rather than by any records, so finding someone who "knows more" is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Their leader appears to be the one who does know the most, though they're being very cagey about how this is (and by "most" it means that this person was a natural person to follow in Ball's footsteps as a result).
They didn't think the yellow-eyed monsters had anything to do with the god with gold imagery until recently because they hadn't seen as many of the monsters as the Displaced had (for obvious reasons). But given the act of god in Antartica, they think that's true now!
