I've been in worse nightmares than this, to be honest. I just still preferred it when it was my own world.
( Because then you get used to your world's issues and it feels more natural. She knows how to handle their problems. She's been here for months and she still doesn't know how to handle these problems outside of keep surviving. Hawke is not the brainy sort. She doesn't bother with all these theories and thinking through mysteries. She's just trying to get by. )
There are people here though, who you can talk to, who you can lean on. We're an odd group of people, the Displaced, but we're in the same situation.
( That forces them to deal with one another whether they like it or not. Sometimes that works out very, very poorly. Hawke has yet to meet someone she doesn't like here, but she's also very easy. She chews on some of her food since she is hungry, just willing to share. This isn't back home where she used to be food insecure and struggled to outgrow that. Here there's so much of it. )
Though don't pay too much mind to the dramatic ramblings on the network. People get their undergarments in a twist on there so often I wonder if they don't have better things to do.
(. It's just a weary observation, Hawke likes most people, but she doesn't understand when everyone throws fits at each other over generally harmless things. People, right? )
