[ If she'd had her way, she would have never left the facility. She still doesn't trust Riverstone at all, and is loath to stop watching them even for a moment.
But Hawke had insisted - insisted that she was fine, that she would call at the first sign of trouble, that Cassandra's constant hovering was driving her mad and she needed to get out, if only for a few hours, for both their sakes. So here she is.
She tours the upper levels only briefly: shining, immaculate buildings, restaurants, shops. It reminds her, more than anything, of the clean white buildings of Val Royaux, or Kirkwall's Hightown.
But where there's a Hightown, there's a Lowtown, and if she's going to find anything out about the truth of this place, it's going to be there. So that's where she heads - the lower levels, the ones hidden and forgotten. She spends time talking quietly to some of those she meets, offers what little she can to anyone who will accept it, and if one of her fellow Displaced finds her there, she murmurs unhappily to them. ]

[ She'd come here, in theory, to protect Hawke. To make sure that nothing happened here that Hawke hadn't explicitly agreed to (or, more generally, anything that Cassandra didn't like).
But once they'd actually arrived, she'd found it impossible to stick just to that. Impossible to abandon the other test participants to their fates and focus only on Hawke.
If she sees anyone looking frightened or uncertain, she'll approach them, speaking quietly and as reassuringly as she can. ]
