I can't believe how few people have a problem with this.

I shouldn't have to explain how psychologically damaging it is to hold people against their will for days after they've gone through something as traumatic as arriving here, but then again I understand no one seems to care about that or the fact that we've gotten by just fine for the last several waves of new arrivals without doing so. I'm sure this is a lot easier.
