[Sam pants a laugh. His body language changes ever so slightly. No matter how many times they do this dance, he still feels some relief when they get past stage one of Dean Repressing Stuff. At least he's out and about instead of holing up watching horror flicks. Then again, that might be because this world's version of horror flicks don't appeal to Dean. Who knows. He hasn't had the chance to ask.]
I wasn't planning on it. [But this is a step. Sometimes Sam needs to nudge them into phase two. And sometimes it's just going through the motions and waiting. Knowing when to go silent. Knowing when to toss a passive aggressive, "Oh, really? You're saying that right now?" at Dean until it eats him up.
But he is worried. He is. Part of it is having to examine what he knows. Hell, having Dean back means he can kinda work through what all of that could mean himself. If it means anything. Sam knows it might not, but it's ... well. Dean's kind of an open book sometimes.
And figuring it out—well, it isn't about him. But he wants to be there for Dean. The time'll be good for both of them until his brother's ready.]
Glad to have you back. [For now? It's laying on the mushy stuff time.]
