WHO: Keith and any and all!
WHERE: All over, depending!
WHEN: The second half of August (from now to the end of December OOCly).
WHAT: Work, knife play, Morningstar work.
NOTES OR WARNINGS: N/A. Will add as needed.
i. the taxi business
[Keith works a lot. It's not because he particularly enjoys his job, but he doesn't mind it. The customer service aspect of the job kills him. Having to be nice to people. Having to listen to them when they feel they need to talk about how hard their lives are, or why someone dumped them, or give him serious opinions on whether pizza should be considered an acceptable food. It's just annoying. But it is a job.
If someone needs to get around the city quickly, Keith is a likely candidate for dispatch to send out. Even if he's terrible at small talk, he's great at being efficient. Taking the right routes.
So, is Keith your driver today? He'll probably be more amicable if he knows it's someone from the safehouse.
Probably.]
ii. sad boy with knife
[The day the knife shows up in Keith's hands, he takes a day off of work and keeps to himself. It's not that the knife is a bad thing. It's really not. But it's not a good thing, either, only he isn't ready to tell anyone that. Not right away.
It's two days later when he shows up in the abandoned grocery store to train with it. Keith knows there are better places around the city, but he doesn't want anyone to see the knife and think anything of it. He doesn't want to be tracked, or potentially tracked. That could be dangerous.
While training, there are two ways to find Keith:
a: moving swiftly with the knife, kicking off of various shelves, and probably knocking some down in the process. He's tireless, but he isn't so far into the action that he doesn't hear someone show up. Sweat beads over his forehead, and he looks like he could use a shower.
b: taking a break, settling down not far from the entrance. He's not in immediate view, but he's there just the same. He's concentrating, but he'll break it when he hears someone, leaning forward further into view so he doesn't "surprise" them overly much. The knife is in his hands regardless, and is seemingly the focal point of his attention even while he's acknowledging someone.
After these things, Keith will almost always have the knife on him, wrapped up in bandage. It's how it has to be.]
iii. morningstar jobs | open to morningstar recruits only!
[These aren't missions.
The fact that they aren't gets under Keith's skin a little, but he knows better than to get frustrated. He abandoned work like this for the Voltron coalition. It had nothing to do with not wanting to help. He wants to help—at the time, he wanted to help. But he still feels antsy. Impatient. But he knows that everything takes time. Not everyone starts out as a paladin, and the Blade were too cautious to invite anyone into their ranks without vetting them first.
So, yeah. He gets it.]
I think we've got three more shipments before we're done today. As far as anyone knows, you called me and had me bring you around to get them done. It's all aboveboard, okay?
[What are they delivering? Mostly goods and supplies to people who need it. Keith doesn't know who the people are, but he figures some are refugees like the people who were in the safehouse before.
These jobs come in a number of similar shapes, but it's all about doing good for people.]
iv. wildcard
[This is an open log for the entirety of this point in time and all of December. Feel free to bother him at work with a different version of the prompt, see him cleaning his knife or hiding it before he enters the Morningstar safehouse because he doesn't want to get on Gaby's bad side. Bother him because he's annoyingly heroic. He might even be out attempting borderline vigilante stuff, but ducking out of the way if an actual cop shows up. He'll also be checking out the competition at the fight clubs, but not joining in just yet. Otherwise, hit me up through a PM for anything else! I'm open to anything.]
