[ she's promised to bring take-out and so she does, some kind of noodles with veggies and sauce that she's had before, no identifiable insect parts contained in the dish (though that doesn't mean there are no insects in it, but she'd rather not know).

she's not nervous when she knocks on their door and shoots off a quick mental message that she's there —after letting connor know she's on his way like markus asked her to. she's not nervous, but there's some tension in her stomach. for once, she doesn't try to hide it, doesn't keep it out of the set of her shoulders.
