one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor-
WHO: Dick Grayson, Diana Prince, Loki & Thor Odinson, Jason Todd
WHERE: Their PRESERVE dorm room
WHEN: Shortly after the Arrival log
WHAT: Two tired adults decided to take (1) night off with their boozy roommate and invite everyone's favourite troublemakers.
NOTES OR WARNINGS: Everyone gets drunk and there's a dramatic reading of Loki's erotica novels. So you know- peruse with caution.
[It's not the first thing he would have thought of doing, after all the new arrivals had settled in, and they all had a moment to breathe. To sort out the things they remembered- from a skewed version of their waking world, and the raw feeling of being exposed to others without their express permission. But he can't deny that he's grateful for it either. Thor makes for a jovial presence, his personality as large and imposing as his figure- and the more he's there, brandishing more than his fair share of wine bottles, the less space in which he has to think.
About the dreamscapes, about the snap of a rope, about a hallway that extended far too long. Doesn't have to think of the spectres that had stumbled over themselves to talk of their guilt, their own self made destruction. Doesn't have to think of how another member of his extended family, counted by sheer number of years and affection with which he's regarded her- doesn't know him. Like Jason doesn't know this version of him, and Bruce didn't. And Damian doesn't. That the people who did- Stephanie and Kara, are long gone. About how divided they've been and all the trouble that's caused them.
Instead, he thinks about the swing of his legs, over the top of his bed, seated beside his younger brother in a lack of available room in the small dorm for all of them, to a tune that he counts out in his head, to clutter up all that silence with something good and leans forward to take a proffered bottle of wine. It's not what he's here for, really- whether or not he'd actually volunteered- but just for tonight, he figures he can afford to take the night off. To sit back, enjoy company- and slowly regroup and piece himself back together. He thinks they all could.
A moment after he takes it, he pops the cork on it before taking a swig and passing it down]
So...Anyone know any good drinking games?
[[ ooc: make your own top levels, mingle with whoever, go nuts, etc ]]

i expect chaos
[thor everyone knows how to play never have i ever, get on with it]
Never have I ever drank a drink I did not enjoy.
good
I know you, but you don't know me.
The onslaught of jolting revelations paired with the dimming of her powers has left her, perhaps understandably, wanting a break. In a hundred years, that is something Diana has rarely wanted for herself. But this particular set of circumstances certainly calls for it.
So she lets the others crowd into their already cramped room. Lets Thor bring a questionable number of wine bottles and scatter them about within easy reach. Lets herself take one and pour herself a generous glass of wine. Sips on it, not expecting much--until a warmth she hasn't experienced in a century starts to settle into her limbs, her chest. Surprise sparks behind her eyes, but it's good to know where her limits lie now. Imperative, actually.
Drinking games--she remembers the last time she played one, long ago on Themyscira. But she doesn't let her heart break to think of it. Instead, she smiles, raises her glass and takes a sip.]
I have had some thoroughly unenjoyable liquors in my life.
[A beat, and she continues the game:]
Never have I ever been hungover.
no subject
Never, hm? You may soon.
no subject
I highly doubt that. I'm made of some pretty tough stuff.
no subject
You look to be. [It's a compliment]
no subject
I believe it's someone else's turn now.
no subject
[It's wry, and wholly amused. Because all he's heard so far is- the humans are going to get drunk first. Almost embarrassingly quickly- but, unwinding was sort of the point, isn't it?
So first, he takes two drinks in quick succession. He's had drinks he's hated the taste of, or learned to hate from over exposure, thank you Wayne galas, and he's been hungover before he's learned to assess his limits. There's a beat then, as he thinks and runs through his memories of legends-
And because he can't come for Diana so obviously, he's going for the cheap shots- sorry Thor]
Never have I ever held power over storms.

he doesn't look up, but he does respond as he tips the bottle back in its upright position. ]
Never have I ever carried Mjolnir.
[ sorry Thor, you're going to lose at your own game. ]
no subject
Never have I ever worn a helmet with horns so long I was in danger of impaling myself if I tripped.
no subject
Well, you were drunk that one time. Have you forgotten? You wrangled them from my head, hardly cordinated.
[ is he lying or telling the truth. his lips are hovering just above the edge of the drink. ]
no subject
[ go on, drink. he's not admitting to anything ]
no subject
[ he says hotly, but he drinks anyway, if not somewhat grudgingly. he doesn't like to lose, especially not to Thor, but there's a sort of affection in this that he can't deny.
it's not so bad. ]
Never have I ever been trusted by Captain America.
[ HE CAN GO On just try him. ]

no subject
[ but he's drinking anyway, even if he looks dubious about it. ]
no subject
[ is his crush showing yet ]
Open
it's Thor who finds Diana second, as well as Dick, and Loki is not surprised. he is, however, mildly surprised to receive a drinking invitation. there's not much to do, so to truly become the life of the party, he ushers Jason along. despite the issues that Jason and Dick have had in the past, Dick is still his brother, and if worse comes to worse, Thor is there. he knows Thor likes Jason. ]
Isn't there some sort of Pong with Ale that the Midgardians are so fond of?
[ that's beer pong, Loki. ]
For erotic novel readings:
[ when they're good into their cups, Loki gives a little hiccup and then leans in to Jason's shoulder. he has to steady himself against him so he doesn't fall forward. ]
You know what would be fun?
no subject
Beer pong. 's okay, but a lot of effort if all you're wanting to do is just get drunk.
( also they'd need a lot more cups. and space. and they have neither of those things. )
We can always pretend to play, then drink like we're losing.
no subject
Isn't that just beer and balls? [ someone had to break in the first dick joke. ] It sounds like we can do that without the effort.
[ there's a drink in his hand that gets steadily swished in a circular motion. it's lazy, but an indication that Loki is having a hard time sitting still, albeit subtly. ]
It sounds counterintuitive that the winner would stay sober, anyway.
no subject
You should save some of those jokes for Dick, he loves them. ( does he. does he really, or is jason being a shit? )
We don't have the room for it, so we'll have to settle on good old fashioned getting drunk.
no subject
I'll be certain to insert my Dick jokes appropriately. [ oh, he looks proud of that one ... or two, maybe? three? whoever heard of an appropriate dick joke. ] I wouldn't want to kill the fun boner, after all.
[ he drinks, and raises an eyebrow at Jason that says beat that. ]
no subject
You're already killing it.
no subject
[ ok, so that didn't hurt at all, but Loki has to be a drama llama about it. he pushes a flat palm against his shoulder, as if they were children in the back seat of a car. with his other hand, he keeps his fingers around his glass. ]
This is quality comedy.
no subject
( see he'd comment on loki's terrible dick jokes but now he's focused on trying to steal his goddamn glass.
this is why they're not allowed to hang out in public together. )
no subject
there's a tug at the glass, but he doesn't drag it from Jason's grip. there's a little push and pull. ]
A little please might warm me up.
no subject
sultry, with a purpose. )
Loki.
no subject
Jay.
[ that's a nice look. ]
no subject
Share.
( voice low, barely more than a whisker but his expression doesn't change. )
no subject
Sharing.
[ but he made you work for it. ]
no subject
( he says, and raises the glass to his lips before tilting his head back and downing all of it. he worked hard to snag loki's booze, may as well steal it all. )
no subject
Are you going to refill that for me, or just stare into its empty depths?
no subject
All yours, babe.
( he's done now, loki can have the glass back. thanks for the drink. )
no subject
Is this how you leave me? Thirsty and with an empty cup? For shame, you'll have to deal with me sober until the glass is filled!
[ the words drip from his lips. he knows you're being a brat, Jason. ]
no subject
One glass ain't gonna do shit for you anyway. ( teasing, before jason fucking. burps. gross. )
no subject
[ Jason leans against him and Loki remains steady, bringing the glass down to shake it to press that there's nothing in it.
also thank you is that a burp for him? he loves it. ]
no subject
( that burp is definitely for loki, and he's very welcome. jason takes another look at the glass, and looks back to loki. rolls his eyes with a longwinded sigh and gets himself up to his feet. reaches back for loki's cup. )
Hand it over.
no subject
I'm leaving my satisfaction in your capable hands.
hell yeah these novels-
[It's immediate. Not because he doesn't, in fact, know what would be fun. While he takes his job seriously and has a hard time turning it off- having a moment to unwind, to relish in the fun things- had always come easier than some of the other bats he could name.
It's that he doesn't trust anything Loki would consider a good time]
Whatever it is- no.
no subject
[ you're so serious, Dick! and this is fun time! they're having fun. ]
I promise you won't regret it.
[ so that doesn't actually sound to promising, despite how convincing Loki tends to be. there is something saying that he won't let this go, even if Dick rejects the proposal again. ]
