[Set deep in the downtown of New Amsterdam's entertainment district is Asylum, arguably the most popular club in the city. The exterior is cool steel beams and tasteful futuristic architecture with a long line down the corridor, suited bouncers posed at the entrance all armed with a virtual guest list. Its interior is fashioned with bright, colorful lighting dynamic to the music of the infamous DJ Semicolon, high ceilings and acoustic sounds to lend that feeling of a constant full-body hum. Any partygoers on the guest list for this event will be funneled toward the VIP section. They will have received an invitation a few days prior via their Cooltalk profiles. Jason is specifically blacklisted, sorry buddy.

DANCE YOUR HEART OUT. Nearly impossible to book without deep pockets or wide-reaching connections, Semicolon is at the top of their game mixing popular contemporary hits with Whitney Houston's classics. From song to song, Semicolon provides a unique and talented contrast of the slow to the energetic, so no matter your dancing style, you'll find something to move you on the dance floor.

DROWN YOUR... LIVER. Courtesy of the party's host, Hideki Maeda, the VIP section's private bar will provide an ever-flowing river of your favorite expensive high-proof alcohol. Pick your poison.

CHILL OUT. Tired on your feet from too much dancing, or just need a break from the packed atmosphere? There are plenty of comfortable areas where you can relax and take it easy until you're ready to get back out there. The lights around this area cycle through different colors in reflection of Semicolon's performance set, so a slower song might lend toward romantic shades of red while a faster-paced song is brighter blue.

SMOKE, EAT & MINGLE. Asylum will be serving real, fresh meat at this party, so enjoy that luxury while it lasts. There is also an outdoor area with a beautiful view over the city itself if you want to take your vape pen out there for a smoke, just get some air, or see who's around for a chat.]

[prompto is highly unaware of gifts being brought for him because that's not the kind of birthdays he's had, so he's so very amused and—simply enough—ecstatic at the idea of pancakes for a present.]

[turning the other around, prompto places his hands on jon's back and starts guiding him off the dance floor. 'guiding' is a passive word, for he is mostly just pushing, past the beat of the song and other dancer, away from where the neon lights pulse with the track's rhythm.]

We've gotta taste test them anyway, right!

[jon laughs and allows himself to be pushed.]

[he steers them towards the table he left the waffles on, by sansa.]

You know the waffles are yours. You could eat all twelve of them by yourself if you wanted.

[IF YOU WANTED TO BE MEAN TO SANSA, who has been patiently guarding a box of her favorite waffles like a sad borzoi dog.]

[They are part of a gift. So she doesn't help herself OF COURSE, but ...she does think about it. And after careful deliberation she makes an offer. It's mostly in jest because she'll give him his gift regardless of his answer, but the moment she sees Prompto:]

I'm prepared to make a trade for one of your waffles if you're feeling generous on your name day.

[She's smiling playfully now and taking a sip of her drink, a pale yellow thing: elderflower liqueur and ginger ale.]

I might have heard that eating an even number of waffles on one's name day is unlucky.

[soon as they approach the table, sansa is speaking—and prompto is just so tickled by the way the people of westeros speak. it makes him feel special, important. he can't help but return her smile.]

You're prepared for it, like it's an actual thing you had to take into consideration?

[he takes across from her, looking up at jon and then back to the girl before him. feet on the bar of the stool, knees jogging, and propped onto his arms— prompto leans forward.]

Sansa. As long as I can eat a waffle now, I don't mind sharing with everyone. I'll especially like eating waffles with you!

[but, in any case, he's easy]

[jon raises his eyebrows at sansa--he doesn't know where she heard that, but it certainly wasn't winterfell, and grins at prompto, he slides into the seat next to him.]

I told you, my real gift for you isn't ready yet. These are just for the party. [maybe not SO prepared...] Sansa's quicker than me.

[it doesn't help that she makes clothes for fun and profit, and jon is relying on an overworked gadgeteer genius for his gift. look forward to your longbow sometime next month, prompto.]

[Prompto's amusement is contagious, and she reaches down to produce a small box to place in front of him - simply wrapped in plain grey paper. Whenever he chooses to open it, it's a franken-mashup of a "vintage" jacket and a sweater.]

Of course! And I was mostly japing. I would have given you this either way, but your generosity is noted.

[Have at it WAFFLE BO IS OPEN. And that even number comment was most definitely b.s..]

I might have beaten him to the punch, but I'd bet Jon's gift is well worth the wait. He's very thoughtful to give two presents.

[She looks Jon over in approval as he sits - he's definitely going to be modeling this outfit on her cooltalk as well, she's decided.

Eating waffle carefully because WHITE DRESS ...why does she keep doing this to herself.]

[his eyes widen comically for a moment as he takes the small box sansa produces. he just kind of stares at them talking to one another, his hands wrapped around the sides of the box, unable to decide what to do with it...]

[talk of there being another gift from jon has him feeling something. when's the last time he had a birthday with gifts, outside of when he was around noctis and the others? he doesn't feel deserving.]

You guys are being way too nice...

[should he open this? he doesn't know. he grabs at one of the waffles...]

[jon's smile is slow-spreading and heartfelt.]

Some of the waffles are for Cain.

[he nods at sansa's gift in prompto's hands.]

But the rest of these presents are for you.

[hopefully sansa remembered to bring a present for cain....ideally something to wear over or instead of his jaime lannister-looking crop top.]
