WHO: Loki, Thor & Jason + anyone/everyone else!
WHERE: Neo Casa Asgard
WHEN: From Oct. 23rd onward
WHAT: The Casa Asgard crew move to a newer, better place now that Loki has a better paying job. This one has rooms! Thor feeds the crew, Jason gets stabbed, and Loki tries to avoid telling anyone that they upped and moved. A day in the life. Word's out Loki, you can't avoid everything forever. General catch-all for all things going down at the new and improved Casa Asgard.
NOTES OR WARNINGS: Jason's gore, but probably other stuff expected from two feisty vikings + Jason Todd. Keep an eye here for updates.

"Well, I may—may!—have had to magically shift the apartment to another building because everyone thought I was Harry Styles."

[ when it came to staying in one place, Loki gets antsy. with lack of resources (see: his sorcery), it's difficult to move from place to place with the same ease as he did when he was in his own world. he has to build, has to wait, and then gets the opportunity to execute. he does most of the legwork himself: moving their few belongings, finding a new place in an appropriate part of the city, and taking care of the paperwork. the whole process is annoying, but he does it quickly and keeps it under the radar. when he tells both Thor and Jason, it's only days before the move, and everything else is already in order to keep from any arguments.

the new apartment is more spacious, with two rooms and a kitchenette. the bathroom is still small, but the shower a little bit bigger. it feels like a lot of space to stretch out, even if it may not be that much more space. Loki had tried for the highest floor available, as he's akin to being a cat on top of the refrigerator. the move is quiet and refreshing, though it probably won't be long before it's announced in some way or another.

it's fine. they can always move again.

still, it's not long before Jason comes home with a knife to the gut. well, it wouldn't be a proper housewarming without it. ]

[ carefully, Loki slips an arm over his shoulders as Jason rearranges himself. he hefts him up into his arms without a grunt or strain, hooking his arm beneath his knees and his other over his back. it's something that Loki makes look easy. ]

While I don't doubt your determination, I doubt that you'll be able to follow through on any promises. [ though he has debated ways to make it work, for now he keeps them to himself. ] No matter what your tenacity may tell you.

[ with Jason in his arms, he begins the short walk to the bedroom. ]

( jason isn't--heavy, but he's not light either. there's muscle mass there that adds a good amount of weight on top of what's average for his height, and he's used to being tossed around--by amazons, kryptonians. he'll just have to add asgardians to that evergrowing list of people who can manhandle him like he weighs next to nothing. )

I could, if you wanted me to. ( jason's stubborn, headstrong, definitely wouldn't give up until he achieved a goal set before him but. maybe not just yet. jason shifts his arm to wrap it around loki's neck, leans his head against a shoulder.

it's a little awkward, given loki's thinner build. but it's fine. he's comfortable. )

Might be better to wait a few days, unless you wanna do all the work.

[ he isn't heavy, not to Loki. where Loki is slim, Jason is wide—Loki is tall, and Jason is just an inch in difference. it's easy to slip his arms in the right places, to heft him up and take him from one place to another. ]

I'd agree. An upward thrust could be detrimental.

[ he says in a cool tone, traveling the short span from the couch to the bedroom. ]

If I had both hands, I'd go for it anyway. ( with a wave of the offending, bandaged one. unfortunately, it's a little hard to patch himself back up when he's down to one useful hand. but it's fine. it could be worse. he could have cut both hands, or the knife could have gone deeper. or he could have lost a leg.

jason still has both of those, so he's fine. )

Guess we'll have to raincheck it.

That just means saving twice as much for when you're better.

[ there's a mild amusement in his voice that comes out in a lower, deeper tone. they can't break in the room, or the couch, or the kitchen, or the bathroom with Jason in this state. while Loki does get concerned, he's well aware that Jason can take care of himself, even when he's taking care of him.

the door slides open as Loki approaches it, not needing to loosen his grip on Jason in the process. ]

Which I am holding you to.

Sounds fair. ( with a snort, but he's not going to make a big deal out of it. jason remains slack in loki's hold whereas he's certain if he truly wanted to, he could just--twist around a bit, get out of his arms and start wreaking havoc.

but there's no need. so he keeps eyes on loki himself, grins like an idiot. )

Y'know, I'm perfectly capable of walking myself. ( it'd hurt a bit, the blood would rush from his head, but he can. )

[ thanks for not making him drop you, Jason. ]

Now, now—don't tell me you're complaining about a free ride.

[ because Loki's already setting him on the bed. he doesn't do it harshly, but there's enough pressure for a tiny little bounce on the mattress. this is where Jason stays now, on the bed. Loki lowers his butt next to Jason's chest, the mattress sinking just a little beneath his weight.

now that they're together, he takes some time to take inventory of Jason's injuries. ]

If I ask nicely, will you tell me who did this?

( there's a low, displeased sound when he bounces against the mattress but jason's fine. just dramatic. he settles fast enough, leaves both hands resting down against his stomach. )

You don't gotta ask nicely. ( because jason would tell loki anyway. he's already involved in all of jason's other bullshit. this is just. another one to add to the top, right? ) After I got hit, they came after Damian. Guy who decided it'd be fun to shove a knife into me wasn't someone I knew, but I can connect the dots.

( turning his head to look towards loki, brows furrowed. ) Only one who has a grudge against both of us is Maeda.

[ ah, he's probably the only one that enjoys Jason's obvious dramatics. they're charming in the way that they're annoying to others. Loki looks unfazed at the grunts, focusing his attention on Jason's expression. ]

Ah—yes, that was my conclusion as well. We know what we did when we were in that world, and it bleeds into this one in unexpected ways.

[ Loki frowns thoughtfully, crossing his legs at the knee. ]

Have Damian and Dick shared their experiences there?

Damian fucked with Maeda. He went to talk to her, she told him to cut out my tongue and take one of Dick's hands off to prove his loyalty to her. Obviously, Damian didn't take it well. She new about B--not just that he was here, that he's Damian's old man, and how fucked their relationship is.

( none of this is information he should be sharing with loki without consulting the other two involved first. but loki's safe, jason doesn't give a shit. if his team from back home was here, he'd share without a second thought. this isn't any different. )

Dick didn't say shit.

[ Loki leans back a little, curving his back and nudging up against Jason's chest with his hip. a puff of air comes out of his mouth and his brows knit together and form two little wrinkles.

two steps forward, one large step back. ]

She seemed content to toy with you before, and now she's sending a violent message. It's as if she no longer wants to take her time with you.

[ curiously: ]

Are the Warlocks still draining her resources?

[ the B thing—that's something else entirely. ]

( he's still got one hand, and jason's using it to reach over and wrap it around loki's waist. the angle is a little awkward, but he doesn't give a fuck. just. holds on, even if it's fucking weird. )

Mm, yeah. They're having a good time fucking her up. But I didn't directly have shit to do with that. Unless she can remember the dreams, too. ( lips pursing, before. ) Which'd make a lot more sense, considering you were fucking with her too, and she isn't going after your crap. It's her vendetta against me.

( which. also means maeda is a bigger problem than originally thought. )

Her name's been associated with their company for forever, but do we know where she comes from?

[ there's no one around to catch a glimpse, and Jason got stabbed and is most likely exhausted, so Loki scoots in to make it a little less awkward for him. he draws his legs up over the edge of the bed and lays halfway on his side.

that's a tad bit better. ]

She's had a vendetta against you. [ though there's a curious edge to his voice. ] But she wasn't the only one in those dreams. We were fully cognizant, though I wonder if what we had affected as a consequence rather than a result. [ there was a difference, there. ] Though if she were there and had influence, why did she not use it to stop you to begin with? It would've been easier to construct a scheme within those confines, rather than execute one here.

[ an opinion of a conniving liar. ]

Hell if I know. ( it could have been part of her plan. it could have felt like a dream, to her. or it could be something entirely different. all they have are theories, no answers. and that's--something they'll have to figure out how to fix on their own. )

Maybe her goal was something more permanent. Maybe she didn't have full access to us the way we did her. Hell, a lot've my dreams, I'm--just stuck watching shit pass. Might've been like that for her. Or maybe it's all part of her ploy.

( a loose half shrug, with the side that's not injured. )

This underhanded bullshit isn't my field.

[ with a curious hum, Loki presses his clothed side against him. the contact is nice, now that Jason is back. he's careful not to brush against something that hurts too much, but he does unravel long fingers over where the bandage is. ]

Just more straight-forward bullshit. [ he teases with a faint smile. ] You may need to extend your resources while you're mending up.

[ Loki looks thoughtful. ]

Perhaps stab her in a more metaphorical way.

I'm not known for utilizing my head, Lo. ( but it's teasing. jason knows he's not a fucking idiot. he knows how to use his head. how to metaphorically stab people, how to break them down mentally. he should know. he's been broken down a few times himself.

loki's hand rests over the chest wound, and he--tenses up a bit, but it doesn't hurt. there's no pressure, nothing to be worried over. )

But I guess if I have to. .

( there are worse things he could be doing. )

You're not known for it.

[ Loki's thumb traces one of the lines in the bandages beneath his shirt, over the tape that's keeping it snug against his body. he half turns, tipping his head inward and lowering his voice like he's about to tell him a secret. ]

But I know how clever you are. I'm many things, Jason Todd, but I am not a poor judge of character. Nor am I inclined to take those who are less than impressive into my bed.

[ there's a roguish little smile. ]

( but that's so much effort, loki. his face pinches tight for a moment before jason's--turning onto his side a bit, facing loki a little more. he's not wrong; jason was trained by the best. he may--be a bit more emotional, prone to running high on anger alone but he knows how to make smarter decisions.

chooses not to in the heat of the moment, but. )

You said you stashed a bit of weaponry away, right? Any chance you hid a few of those ID scrambling masks? I had one, but I gave it to someone I figured could crack it a bit faster than me. Haven't heard back from him yet.

[ there's a little thoughtful ppff that comes out of his mouth. ]

No masks, but grenades and other explosives. [ he rotates the space on occasion so it can't be found. it'd be catastrophic if someone managed to get their hands on what he had stashed away. ] However, there may be something of greater interest among the stash of weaponry found during our UNA raid.

[ there's a hint of excitement in his expression. he loves these kinds of schemes. ]

Fun, but that's not the quiet kind of fun we're looking for.

( he could explode pulsar. or their apartment. but that's less satisfying, and also takes a lot more physical work than jason can put into it at the moment. a hand moves down, moves to wrap fingers around loki's own. soft, because sometimes--jason wants those soft touches.

especially when scheming. )

Guess we should see what nifty stuff we picked up.

No, possibly a bit too explode-y for this case.

[ Jason takes his hand and Loki lets him get comfortable beside him. he tilts his head against his hair and makes a little hm in his throat, vibrating quietly in thought. ]

Since this is personal use, we may have to go about it the round-about way. What do you think? Shall we be selfish and sneaky?

We'll have to be real sneaky. Wouldn't want to piss off Dick.

( is this cuddling. has loki broken him into cuddling? jesus fuck. it's fine. he's comfortable, loki's comfortable, they're talking about exploding shit and being sneaky, this isn't the worst possible scenario. )

But we'd have to wait for a good moment, considering Fitz is trying to get involved in the weapons cache, too.

[ this is totally cuddling, and it proves that Loki is not only sneaky in a scheming sort of way, but he's also sneaky in a cuddling sort of way. he uses his manipulative abilities to turn cuddling into a thing that Jason just sort of eased into. now he seems perfectly satisfied (content, he's content, but he doesn't do it well, so satisfied is the next best thing). ]

Ojiro and I were among those responsible for their capture. [ he says with a little drawl. ] Do you think that gets me a little sway?

[ maybe not, he's still Loki. ]

Ojiro? ( a name he's seen around but never really focused in on. but it's good to know the kind of company that loki likes to play with, isn't it. especially considering they're sharing a bed. )

Probably not. Don't know 'bout here, but if I brought fun toys home, I wouldn't be able to get 'em back without putting in some effort.

( because jason's idea of fun toys is close to the kind of shit that's probably stashed away, and bruce wayne isn't stupid. )

The finders keepers rule don't apply once you bring people who think they're being responsible into the mix.

[ a little bit of Jason's hair gets twirled around one of his fingers. they're touching a little—enough—for Loki to get the idea of just how much pain there might be, and if their tangle would cause anymore. the dull glow of his chest is ignored, as it becomes easy to ignore now. ]

Ugh, I should've nabbed a couple when I had the chance. [ he stretches out a little. ] Please, chastise me for feeling responsible for the barest second upon the delivery of the UNA's stolen weapons.

[ he means this. ]

This certainly makes want to swear off being good.
