It's a lot to share in one go. Clarke has never known precisely how to pry with Klaus. Oh, Klaus talks. If there's anything that she can guess about the Mikaelson men, it's that they both like the sound of their voices. As Kol rattles on, she files away the information. The fact that he looks down on her as she provides so much of it is a boon in her favor.

"You're mistaken about a critical piece of information," she says when he's finally done. "Klaus is as powerless here as any of us. No one's out to get his favor, and I certainly don't need it in order to survive. If you can move past that impression, we'll be able to get along just fine."

The way Kol speaks of his and Klaus' relationship is unusual, but Clarke isn't keen to let on that she sees that. There is a lot she doesn't know about Klaus and his siblings.

The fact that he has siblings named Elijah and Rebekah? Yes. That's new, as well.
