"Feel better about things," he says with a mirthless laugh. "I could feel better about them now but I think someone might object," he says, imagining the faces of others trapped with him if he decided to help his hunger problem here and now. He's always been a messy eater.

"A day then. I'll appreciate being taken there. I'm sure he'll have what I need on hand." He's making faces though because who doesn't prefer an all natural, fresh meal compared to prepackaged and sitting around who knows how long? "I am thankful for your help, even if I'm not always the most social of creatures. My gratitude needs work, I'm told."
