What do you do to de-stress, then? Jyn's never shared.

[ he shrugs. ] I run, though not to the same exhausting extent as Jyn.

[ cassian has a tendency to either a) ignore his stress or b) seek out physical relief, with jyn often as the facilitator. of course she hasn't shared, when half the time it comes down to her hands on him, for platonic and not so platonic reasons, depending. the other half is more athleticism based exertion. ]

One time I reclined slightly more on the couch. [ he lifts his drink up, cheers to that bro. ] Exercise, mostly. Jyn and I like to play tennis.

I don't even know how to play tennis. How do those games go?

We had not played it before arriving here either. But evidently it is popular here in New Amsterdam, not in space.

[ how did they get sucked in?? he doesn't even remember. it was probably jyn wanting to hit things. ]

You just hit the ball with the racket, it is surprisingly therapeutic. We play against each other most often.

Oh, I know how to actually play it. I've seen the game but how do the games between you two specifically go?

Jyn gets very aggressive. Sometimes she hits the ball way too hard and scores against herself.

Jyn, aggressive? There's no way.

Has she thrown the racket at you yet?

I know, it is hard to believe.

[ he loves his aggressive wife. ]

Yet? I think it is more a matter of how many times. Fortunately I know how to dodge very well. She likes to haul it at the wall as well, I think the bounce back is satisfying.

How many tennis rackets has she wrecked?

Do you think she'd believe it if I just happened to wander out during one of these tennis matches to watch?

She has only broken the one.

Not in the slightest, but she cannot do anything but he suspicious if you deny prior knowledge. You can always challenge her yourself too.

I've never played tennis in my life. It's not exactly a favorite sport in Colombia.

I think I'd be even worse than she is. Or anyone is.

We had not played before New Amsterdam. Tennis is even newer to us in concept than you.

No, no, she is not bad at it. But you know it is easy to rile her up.

I bet I could make it happen in less than half an hour. I think I have that in me these days.

Try not to make it too easy for her.

That long? [ he has mastered the skill. five minutes, tops, if he really sets his mind to it. ]

Well, I could probably shorten that but I think it would be obvious if I did.

Make sure you set a timer. You could start keeping records for yourself.
