[ Well that was... exciting... Drake pulls away from Carolina and heads back over to Ephemera to check him over. The other man is still tense, good eye dark, but Drake's hoping he isn't injured beyond maybe a bruise for taking that hit. ]

Thank you, for jumping in. It gave me a chance. You sure he didn't break anything?

[ It's over or is, at the very least, handled. Ephemera watches it play out with narrowed eyes, waiting in case it goes wrong, but it doesn't.

It's over. He allows himself to breathe. ]

[ He doesn't mean to snap at Drake and takes another deep breath, twitching, before he tries again. ]

Yeah, I'm good. He didn't touch me, thanks to you.

[ He was maybe a little stunned by the vision of Maine charging at him, but things more or less went the way they were supposed to. And Carolina isn't injured to the point of needing the hospital or anything, which is good. ]

I think he got the point, so this was worth it.
