CLOSED.

WHO: Akechi, Jason & Loki
WHERE: Weapon's depot for stealing weapons
WHEN: During the event
WHAT: Being criminals
NOTES OR WARNINGS: They're all warnings. Will specify if they get extra warning-y.

"I've always liked people who say 'the night is young.'"

[ the way to be prepared for any situation is to have the information that's needed already locked away for the taking. in anticipation, Loki has tucked away a few interesting tidbits for side projects here and there, when the time presents itself.

it seems like that time is now.

the EMP hits, and the city goes down. there are two stops he makes: back to his own apartment to speak with Jason, and then to the safehouse. the plan unfolds, and with the circumstances, it shouldn't be hard to get a getaway car. (it's not that he's against helping people—in fact, he goes out of his way to help a few on the way to the apartment, and then to the safehouse—he just has his own agenda.) at the safehouse he acquires a scrambling mask, which is exactly what he had come for. it's there that he sees Akechi again, and after their conversation about DAWN, says that there's an opportunity for them here. it doesn't take much to convince Akechi (and he even gets the feeling that Akechi is convincing him a little bit).

the next stop is one of Pulsar's subsidiaries.

Quite the compliment. ["Rather good at this" is an understatement, considering the fact that he was able to handle as much as he did alone. Without a team or a cat insisting that he knew what was going on. Akechi isn't jealous; he's just well aware that he's far more talented than all of the Phantom Thieves.

(Definitely not jealous.)]

Please don't take my words of caution as an order or a demand. I've been able to test my power ... liberally since I got it, and it seems that there's a limit on it. [None of this is necessary, but the words come just the same. Akechi is used to trying to appeal to someone.

He relaxes, drawing his seat belt across his body.]

Loki, of course, has a better idea of what we've taken. I'm still acclimating. [Hence: an explanation not about the weapons.]

( loki finds some newbie kid and decides to take him on a nice heist through the city. sounds about right, honestly. jason isn't even the least bit surprised. luckily the roads are fairly empty with most well-behaved citizens staying inside like they had been asked to. luckily and unluckily; it makes it easier to weave his way through the cars that are shut down, harder to hide on the roads.

jason slows down to an even pace on the road, turns up the hovercar's ac after another moment and slouches down further into the seat. eyes flick up to watch akechi in the rearview mirror, but it's only long enough to get a good look at him. late teens, skinnyish, a little bit of a suck up--good enough for him. )

We can stop at the warehouse before heading back in, check for any bugs. ( nobody wants bugs in the apartment. ) But they might have bigger shit to worry about than a few toys soon.

Let's not count on that priority. Sometimes it's easier to focus on the smaller mess than the larger one, especially if they heave a means of following up. [It's a matter of putting out fires. Akechi knows how these types of people think. They know to distract people, keeping their eyes off of anything else that may or may not matter.]

Remind me, did that other batch run the risk of tracking?
