[ Wash has a shift in a little while, but came early just in case they needed help tonight... or he could swap for some extra hours. He really wants to move out of the Safehouse sooner rather than later. But as they don't need him yet, he has some time to kill and heads over to the bar to get a (non-alcoholic, he's working soon) drink. The only open spot is next to the sour-looking fellow and he supposes that's driving people away from him and creating the bubble, but that doesn't bother Wash. Hell, he's probably the one with that expression half the time.

The bartender passes him his soda and he raises his glass politely, eyeing the free seat. ]

Mind if I claim this for awhile?

[At least the sour expression, at the moment, is trained on his pink-ish drink. When he's addressed his expression finds a new target, but his tone doesn't match, being far more amiable to conversation than the impression he gives.

He offers a single nod of his head.]

You needn't ask.

[He may look like he's just about out of patience with existing but he's not about to play God with the seating.]

[ Oh, that's kind of dissonant, actually. The guy sounds personable enough... Wash decides to try and keep talking, at least for now. Worst case he gets some practice and has to find another seat, right? ]
