[ This is a better dream than the ones Glimmer has been dealing with lately. It's downright pleasant, really. Glimmer takes a few steps up the porch steps, peering wide-eyed at the little calf. There's an appreciative softness in her voice, as if her voice being too loud might scare the thing away or dissipate the dream. ]

No. Only ever the grown-up ones...

[ She takes a few more cautious steps, until she could reach out and touch the the thing. ]

It's adorable.

（ gene's voice is warm, an' when she reaches out to pet the calf he adjusts his grip on the little guy, rubbing between his ears to calm him. gene's a man what seems perfectly at ease about anywhere he's ever been, but there's a special affinity here. for this house, this porch, this place. agathine will always be his first real love, no matter all the other places he's been. new york, tunisia, ireland, on through france an' belgium — he's seen wonders, sure, but he's a simple man. ）

He'll grow up before too long, but it's a treat to see 'em as babies.

[ Glimmer lets her hand rub between the calf's ears. Marveling at how warm and soft and vulnerable the little creature seems. Slowly, she moves to sink down and sit next to Gene on the swing, her weight shifting it a little. Unlike some of the other dreams she's shared, this place feels warm and safe. Gentle, even. ]
