WHO: Tommy Magnus and YOU
WHERE: Trains and PRESERVE dorms
WHEN: OCTOBER 08 - OCTOBER 12th
WHAT: Tommy can't sit still or go outside and annoys everyone around him
NOTES OR WARNINGS:
all about trains
[ So, like, trains right? He's never been on a train before. Why would he when he used to be able to run almost faster than the speed of sound? It's cool, it's a great experience, he enjoys watching the scenery whoosh passed.
And now he's over it.
He can be found grabbing food from the food cart and taking pictures and video where and when appropriate. If he's sitting he's sitting and drumming both of his feet obnoxiously, if he's standing he's probably pacing. He hates this and he can't actually think straight. It was cool and then it wasn't, and when you perceive the world faster than most people around you it makes things all the slower.
He drapes himself across two seats, heels of his hands pressed into his eyes. ] This sucks.
preserve dorms
It's like they dragged me out of one cage and put me in another.
[ It's. Cold.
Volunteer work is important and all, but it's fucking frigid and Tommy's never actually had to deal with cold like this before. He blows on his hands and rubs them together lightning fast. ]
You ever see anything like this before? [ He cants his head towards the snow out the window. ]
wildcard
[ got an idea? throw it at him, get the boy. ]

Honestly, it might be better if we leave the ones who know how to handle stuff like this to all the transportation and first aid stuff. .

[ His hand curls automatically around Billy's, like they do this all the time - and maybe they don't, but his Billy is clingy and needs his guidance. ]
no subject
( he could bet that most billy kaplans are clingy, maybe just not clingy to tommy. considering his own tommy would be running in the opposite direction faster than billy could open his mouth to say stop if he ever even thought about coming this close. probably. it's not like he's tried to leech off him before. )
No offense or anything, but he set me on fire once and I don't think I'm over it yet.

[ He bounces a leg restlessly. ]
So okay, if you don't worship Doom then what do you worship? I mean, not that I worship him - it's more a 'we take his name in vain and hope he doesn't smite us' kinda deal.
no subject
Personally? It's complicated. World-wide? There are more religions out there than I could count. But definitely not Doom.

Once. [ she'd been escaping lydecker's officers and their kill on sight orders and ended up waiting them out in a lake underneath a sheet of ice. ] But now I live where there's more rain than show.
[ or had lived, anyway. ]
Where are you from, California?
no subject
[ Which isn't a huge surprise given the wealth of mutant abilities that could stop it in their tracks.

You?
no subject
Seattle. It's a US city, Pacific Northwest. But if you don't know where California is that probably doesn't mean anything.

[ thanks alternate universes. ]
Kind of weird we got all the way here without thinking to bring a coat.
no subject
Yeah, they're a little ill-prepared considering the sudden increase in numbers of the people who were supposed to be going on this trip.

he's certain Tommy is feeling antsy for more reasons than one. ]
Yes, but usually in the bowels of Jotunheim, less so on the waters of Midgard. It's a bit of an anomaly, isn't it? There seems to be a lot of that going on, lately.

[ You know, monsters. He's not sure he buys that, though. None of this is really lining up the way he's used to things lining up, and the level of reality warping here is - well, he's not even sure his mother could accomplish it. ]
Still, if I wanna go outside I should be allowed to go outside.
no subject
[ a pause, then curiously: ]
If you were allowed to go outside, just what would you do outside?

Itching to get your hands working, hm? [ he sounds thoughtful. ] Well, patience was never my best trait, either.
...
Well, sometimes. During a scheme, more or a less. Otherwise ... the lack of freedom is ... stifling.

Oh, hey roomie.

There's a gnawing sort of distraction from the mess, and so after he toes his shoes off and slides them next to his bag, he's automatically going and just... starting to pick things up.]
Good afternoon. [Or-- whatever time it is. The forced sleep, waking up somewhere different, time zone changes... he has no idea what time it actually is where they're standing right now, and can't be bothered to check to see if his implant auto-updated or if he needs to figure out how to change the settings to reflect his location.]
Are these yours? [It's asked as he picks up-- something from the ground. A sock, a shirt, who knows. He doesn't care too much to examine it, only to set it where it belongs, on its owner's bed or otherwise. He'll look at it when he's folding it like the neurotic nutjob he is.]
no subject
Yeah. Sorry. I didn't realize we were bunking with anybody else.
no subject
While I'm not sure how long we'll be here, perhaps it would be best not to move in entirely. For all we know, we'll fall asleep and wake up halfway across the world again: only this time, someone else might wake with your shirts.
[And isn't this familiar, picking up after the crew after a night in a motel room, shuffling the playing cards back into the box, giving chiding comments, as though it would actually change anything.]
So- who else is included with the 'we' we're bunking with?

[don't worry, tommy. you've landed yourself in the seats close to where prompto sits, also feeling somewhat miserable.]
[he reaches forward and pats the back of his head]
Feeling cooped up?
no subject
I could've already been there if they hadn't jacked my powers up. This is torture.
no subject
[he gets it; not having their powers suck--even if prompto himself doesn't have any many powers to speak of in the first place.]
You tried running up and down the train?
no subject
[ And he was told very politely to sit in his seat and stop agitating the other passengers. ]

And, as a member of Team It’s Just Anxiety, he doesn’t have anywhere specific he’d rather be, or, at least, nowhere he will ever see again — and nothing in particular he wants to do about it. He’s just antsy and uncomfortable for the sake of it.
He’s at the foot of the bottom bunk when the question’s asked, bouncing his heel on the floor like a catapult winding up, arms crossed to conceal his missing left hand. He tilts his head toward the window, where Tommy’s indication has led him, and looks outside with knitted brows. ]
Snow, sure. It was normal in Toronto, but not this much of it.
no subject
[ He's hanging most of the way off the top bunk - he'd stolen it from Billy when Billy left for the day, because of course he did. he restless movements of other people don't even catch his attention - he's constantly in some kind of motion, full of way too much energy to actually sit still. ]
It was too hot to snow in Genosha. Let alone storm.
